Key point: We’ve created a community calendar with all of your events!

My name is Mayank Mehta and I’m the Assistant Director of Entrepreneurial Education at iVenture. As a quick summary, we help students scale their startups and we we’re quite involved in supporting social innovation.

As you know, entrepreneurship tends to be quite business and engineering heavy, but we believe that one cannot talk about impact without prioritizing those who are the most passionate about creating it.

And so, over these past few months, we’ve been steadily working towards learning more about the social impact space at UIUC.

As you may already know, the entire space is really diverse with an incredible amount of initiatives going on from students and staff. While we were trying to connect with more organizations, we learned that the diversity is so vibrant, it’s actually a bit difficult for organizations to have bridges from one to the other for students to travel across to connect with others in different organizations across different areas of interest.

To help on this end, our incredible team of Social Impact Fellows (CC’d) has created a calendar that includes all of your events! We sourced these from calendars and from social media posts.

If you’d like to share this with the rest of your team, students, through your newsletters, socials, etc. please feel free to do so. We’re aiming to create bridges between any impact-focused organization so students have a way to traverse through all the wonderful things going on around campus, and we’d love to partner with you all and help transform this initiative into impact.

Finally, we haven’t yet had the pleasure of meeting a lot of you. We’ll be reaching out separately to hopefully set up a conversation and see how we can help!
